John Webster, the Host Crier of the Golden Jubilee Town Crier Championships, has a proven track record of successful events.

He and his wife, Mary, where the hosts of the 1993 World Town Crier Championships sanctioned by the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers in England.

He has organized and hosted the provincial championships of The Ontario Guild of Town Criers for three consecutive years and hosts several festival 'Cry-Offs' yearly.

He was the first chair of the Rules and Regulations committee for the Ontario Guild, and was instrumental in initiating the Guild Rules which have become the basis for the competitions rules that have been adopted world wide.

His position of various boards of directors, both professional and community have given him ability and insight in festival organization.
