Tom Jones is the Town Crier for Richmond Hill, a position he has held since 1991. Tom is proud to be a Canadian citizen, but is equally proud of his heritage and the fact that he was born in Wales, U.K. He has cried and competed in Canada, in English and in Welsh, from Halifax N.S. to Vancouver Island, as well as Wales, England, Australia and many states in the U.S.A. |

He is a Past President of the Ontario Guild of Town Criers. The colors of his uniform (ca. 1800) are the green, gold and red of The Town of Richmond Hill's flag and from the Coat of Arms of Lennox, Duke of Richmond, a provincial Governor in Canada in the early part of the 19th century. |
